For ball $1$
$u=5 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}$
$t=4 \mathrm{secs}$
For ball $2$
$u=u \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}$
$t=2 \mathrm{secs}$
For collision equating heights $h=u t+\frac{1}{2} g t^{2}$
$5 \times 4+\frac{1}{2} 10 \times 4^{2}=u \times 2+\frac{1}{2} 10 \times 2^{2}$
$\mathrm{u}=40 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s}$
