Aditya bought a scooter for a certain sum of Money. He spend $15 \%$ of cost price on repair and sold it for a profit on $Rs.$ $1104.$ What will he spend on repair if profit he got was $20 \%$ in $Rs.?$

Solution

Let $C P=R s .100$

then total $CP$ after repair $=100+15=$ $Rs.\, 115$

after getting $20 \%$

profit $S P=115 \times 1.20=138$ $Rs.$

but $SP$ given is $Rs.\, 1104$

so $C P=\frac{100}{138} \times 1104=$ $Rs.\, 800$
