If the Assertion is correct but Reason is incorrect.
Solution
$Cu-7$ and $Cu-T$ are intrauterine contraceptive devices for females. They do not suppress sperm motility. Their mode of action is different. $Cu-T$ and $Cu-7$ discharge $50-75$ micrograms of ionic copper into the uterus daily. These copper ions interfere with life sustaining functions that regulate implantation in the uterus. No any hormone is released by them.
