4-1.Newton's Laws of Motion
hard
At a given instant, $A$ is moving with velocity of $5\,\,m/s$ upwards. What is velocity of $B$ at that time

A
$15\,\, m/s \downarrow $
B
$15 \,\,m/s \uparrow$
C
$5\,\, m/s \downarrow $
D
$5 \,\,m/s \uparrow $
Solution
$l_{1}=2 l_{2}+l_{3}=$ constant
$\frac{d l_{1}}{d t}+2 \frac{d l_{2}}{d t}+\frac{d l_{3}}{d t}=0$
$-5+2(-5)+\frac{d l}{d t}=0$
$\frac{d l_{3}}{d t}=15 m / s$
$\Rightarrow v_{B}=15 \mathrm{m} / \mathrm{s} \downarrow$
