(c)Tundra receives very little precipitation, around $25 cm/ year,$ mostly in the form of snow. The area is covered by snow for most part of the year. The highest summer temperature is $10^\circ$C. It is unable to melt snow except for the upper $10-20 cm$. The remaining part of the soil is in permanently frozen (permafrost) condition.
