(c) : In pomegranate, the whole fruit is covered by a hard rind made up of exocarp and a part of mesocarp. It develops from multilocular syncarpous inferior ovary. Mesocarp forms plate like infolding ($i.e.$ chambered) and the seeds are covered by endocarp and contain bright red succulent testa.
