When body encounters a pathogen for the first time produce a response called Primary response.

Primary response is of low intensity.

– Memory cells are formed due to this primary response.

– These cells are stored in spllen and lymph nodes.

When body encounters the same pathogen subsequently then body elicits secondary response.

Secondary response is of high intensity.
