The chief ore of aluminium is bauxite $\left( Al _2 O _3 \cdot 2 H _2 O \right)$. Corundum $\left( Al _2 O _3\right)$ and Cryolite $\left( Na _3 AlF _6\right)$ are also aluminium ores. Epsomite is a hydrous magnesium sulfate ore with formula $MgSO _4 \cdot 7 H _2 O$.
