(c) If particle starts from rest and moves with constant acceleration then in successive equal interval of time the ratio of distance covered by it will be
$1:3:5:7$ …..$(2n – 1)$
i.e. ratio of $x$ and $y$ will be $1:3$ i.e. $\frac{x}{y} = \frac{1}{3}$ $⇒$ $y = 3x$
