Arun buys one kilogram of apples for $Rs.\, 120$ and sells it to Swati gaining $25 \%$. Swati sells it to Divya who again sells it for $Rs.\, 198,$ making a profit of $10 \%$. What is the profit percentage made by Swati?
A
$25$
B
$20$
C
$16.67$
D
$15$
Solution
Arun $\Rightarrow C \cdot P =₹ 120$
$S.P =125 \%(120)=₹ 150$
Swati $\Rightarrow C.P =₹ 150$
$S.P =₹ 180$ [given]
Divya $\Rightarrow C.P =₹ \frac{198}{110} \times 100=₹ 180$
$S.P =₹ 198$
$\therefore$ Profit $\%=\frac{180-150}{150} \times 100=\frac{1}{5} \times 100=20 \%$
