$(b)$ $(H_2O)$

Molar mass of water $(H_2O)=2+16=18\,g$

$18\,g$ water $=1\,mol$

$20\,g$ water $ = \frac{{1 \times 20{\kern 1pt} \,g}}{{18\,g}}{\kern 1pt}  = 1.11{\kern 1pt} \,mol$

$(c)$ $22\, g$ of Carbon Dioxide $(CO_2)$

Molar mass of carbon dioxide $( CO_2)=12+32=44\,g$

$44\,g$ $CO_2=1 \,mol$

$22\,g$ $C{O_2} = \frac{{1 \times 22{\kern 1pt} \,g}}{{44\,g}}{\kern 1pt}  = 0.5\,mol$
