Ovaries are located one on each side of the lower abdomen. Ovaries maintain their condition/ position by successive tendons.

Ovaries are in a pair and almond like glands in size and shape. It is $2-4 \mathrm{~cm}$ long, $2 \mathrm{~cm}$ wide and $1$ $\mathrm{cm}$ in height.

Each ovary has Hilus. It is an entrance of blood vessels and nerves.

Each ovary is covered by a thin epithelium which enclose the ovarian stroma. The stroma is divided ge form fields ozones – a peripheral cortex and an inner medulla.
