1. Electric Charges and Fields
medium
Find change in mass of a body if it is given $+2C$ charge.
A
$30.33\times10^{-12}\, kg$
B
$11.37\times10^{-30}\, kg$
C
$11.37\times10^{-12}\, kg$
D
$30.33\times10^{-30}\, kg$
Solution
$q=n e$
$2=n \times 1.6 \times 10^{-19}$
Removed ${e^ – }s.$ $\mathrm{n}=\frac{2}{1.6 \times 10^{-19}}$
So mass transfer $=\mathrm{n} \times \mathrm{Me}$
$=\frac{2}{1.6 \times 10^{-19}} \times 9.1 \times 10^{-31} \mathrm{\,kg}$
so $11.37 \times 10^{-12} \mathrm{\,kg}$ will be the answer.
