Give scientific reasons : Though Ginger is gram in/under the soil. It is a stem not a root.

$\rightarrow$  Ginger grows under of underground stem. Its stem growing in soil, appears like irregularly shaped nodes. But it has all parts like stem, nodes internodes scaly leaves, buds etc. Thus though it appress like root its not a root but it's a stem.
