Nepenthus is an insectivores plant which possesses chlorophyll and it obtains sunrays and obtains chemical energy by photosynthesis.

It is an affecting plant. It grow in such a soil where there is a deficit of Nitrogen. It traps insects to remove deficiency of Nitrogen.
