Let $C.P$ of machine $=Rs. x$

If he sell at $₹39$ lakhs

Loss $=₹(x-39)$ lakhs

If $S.P$ $=₹ 49$ lakhs

Profit $=₹(49-x)$ lakhs

According to the $Qn \Rightarrow$ Profit $=3 \times$ loss $(49-x)=3(x-39)$

$49-x=3 x-117$

$4 x=166$

$x=\frac{166}{4}$

$x=41.5$ lakhs
