Solution

We solve $2 y+1=y+4$

$\therefore 2 y-y=4-1 \quad \therefore y=3$

$( 1 )$ The representation of the solution on the number line is shown in the figure below, where: $y=3$ is treated as an equation in one variable

$(2)$ We know that $y=3$ can be written as $0 x+y=3$

Hence, using three solutions $(0,3),(1,3)$ and $(3,3)$ of this equation, the graph is drawn as below
