2.Motion in Straight Line
easy
The position-time graph for a body moving along a straight line between $O$ and $A$ is shown in figure. During its motion between $O$ and $A$, how many times body comes to rest?

A
$0$
B
$1$ time
C
$2$ times
D
$3$ times
Solution
(c)
As there are two extremes in the graph one is maxima and other is minima. At both maxima and minima the slope is zero. So, it comes to rest twice.
