Solution
Let average of $9$ innings $=x,$ Total run $=9 x$ According to the question
$\frac{9 x+100}{10}=x+8 \quad 9 x+100=10 x+80 \Rightarrow x=20$
Average after $10$ innings $=20+8=28$
