6.Interest
medium
A sum of money at compound interest amounts to thrice itself in $3$ years. In how many years will it be $9$ times itself?
A
$9$
B
$27$
C
$6$
D
$3$
Solution
(c) $\quad A=P\left(1+\frac{R}{100}\right)^{T}$
$\Rightarrow \quad 3=1\left(1+\frac{R}{100}\right)^{3}$
On squaring both sides,
$9=1\left(1+\frac{R}{100}\right)^{6}$
Clearly, the required time $=6$ years
