Initial velocity of the train, $u=0$

Final velocity of the $v=40\, km / h$            $=40 \times \frac{5}{18}=11.11 \,m / s$

Time taken, $t=10 \,min =10 \times 60=600 \,s$

Acceleration, $a=\frac{v-u}{t}=\frac{11.11-0}{600}=0.0185\, m / s ^{2}$

Hence, the acceleration of the train is $0.0185 \,m / s ^{2}$.
