$x-a=0$
$\therefore x=a$, આમ $x-a$ નું શૂન્ય $a$ છે.
$p(x)= x^{3}-a x^{2}+6 x-a$
$\therefore p(a) =(a)^{3}-a(a)^{2}+6(a)-a $
$=a^{3}-a^{3}+6 a-a $
$\therefore p(a)=5 a$
આમ, $x^{3}-a x^{2}+6 x-a, \,x-a$ વડે ભાગતા શેષ $5a$ મળે છે.
