$\overrightarrow {\Delta r} = {\vec r_2} – {\vec r_1} = 300\hat i + 400\hat j$
$|\overrightarrow {\Delta r} |\, = \,|{\vec r_2} – {\vec r_1}|\, = \sqrt {{{(300)}^2} + {{(400)}^2}} = 500m$
