Solution
From figure, Acceleration
$a=R\alpha $ . . . (i)
and $mg-T=ma$ . . .(ii)
From equation (i) and (ii)
$T \times R = m{R^a} = m{R^2}\left( {\frac{a}{R}} \right)$
$T=ma$
$mg-ma=ma$
$a=g/2$
