Solution

$(2,\,0)$ means $x=2$ and $y=0$

Putting $x=2$ and $y=0$ in $x-2 y=4,$ we get

L.H.S.$= 2-2(0)=2-0=2$

But R.H.S $=4$ $\therefore $ L.H.S . $\neq $ R.H.S

$\therefore $ $(2,\,0)$ is not a solution.
