(d) For a particular house being selected , Probability $= \frac{1}{3}$
Probability (all the persons apply for the same house)
$ = \left( {\frac{1}{3} \times \frac{1}{3} \times \frac{1}{3}} \right)\,3 = \frac{1}{9}$.
