એક સમગુણોત્તર શ્રેણીનાં બધાં પદ ધન છે. તેનું દરેક પદ, તે પદ પછીનાં બે પદના સરવાળા જેટલું હોય, તો આ શ્રેણીનો સામાન્ય ગુણોત્તર.... હશે.

$\frac{1}{2}\sqrt 5 $

$\frac{1}{2}(\sqrt 5 - 1)$
Solution
અહીં,$ar^{n – 1} = ar^n + ar^{n + 1}$
$1 = r + r^2$
$r^2 + r – 1 = 0$
$D = 1- 4(1)(-1) = 5$
$\therefore \,\,r = \frac{{ – 1 \pm \sqrt 5 }}{2}$ પણ શ્રેણીનાં બધાં પદ ધન છે.
$\therefore r = \frac{1}{2}(\sqrt 5 – 1)\,\,$ લઈશું.
