આકૃતીમાં દર્શાવ્યા મુજબ મોટી વિદ્યુતભારીત પ્લેટ $P$ સાથે બાંધેલી દોરી $S$ બે બોલ $B$ ને ખૂણો બને તે રીતે લટકાવેલ છે તો પ્લેટની વિદ્યુતભારની પૃષ્ઠ ઘનતા કોના સમપ્રમાણમાં છે?

Solution
$Fe = T\, sin \theta …….(1)$
$Mg = T \,cos \theta ……….(2)$
$(1) / (2)$ કરતાં
$Fe/Mg = tan\theta ⇒ Fe = Mg \,tan \theta ⇒ qE = mg\, tan\theta $
$q\,\, \times \,\,\frac{\sigma }{{{ \in _0}}}\,\, = \,\,mg\,\,\tan \theta $
$\therefore \,\,\,\sigma \,\, = \,\,\frac{{mg\,\,{ \in _0}}}{q}\,\,\tan \theta $
તેથી $\sigma \,\, \propto \,\,\tan \,\,\theta $
