$\Rightarrow {\upsilon _{av}} = \frac{2}{{\frac{1}{{{\upsilon _1}}} + \frac{1}{{{\upsilon _2}}}}}$ = $\frac{{2{\upsilon _1}\,{\upsilon _2}}}{{{\upsilon _1} + {\upsilon _2}}}$
