Solution
Let the equation of the hyperbola is
$\frac{x^2}{a^2}-\frac{y^2}{b^2}=1$
where $2 ae =4$ and $e =2 \Rightarrow a =1$
$a ^2 e ^2= a ^2+ b ^2 \Rightarrow 4=1+ b ^2$
$b^2=3$
$\therefore$ equation of hyperbola is $\frac{x^2}{1}-\frac{y^2}{3}=1$
$3 x^2-y^2-3=0$
