where ${v_x} = v\cos \theta = $ Horizontal component of velocity

${v_y} = v\sin \theta – gt = $ Vertical component of velocity

${v_t} = \sqrt {{{(v\cos \theta )}^2} + {{(v\sin \theta – gt)}^2}} $
