$\frac{{dV}}{{V.dT}} =  – \frac{2}{T}$

$d V=V \gamma d T$

$\frac{d V}{V}=\gamma dT$

$\gamma=\frac{d V}{VdT}$

$\Rightarrow \gamma=-\frac{2}{T}$
